Fitting 997.2 S exhaust tips on a 997.1 Non-S

Hello I am looking to purchase a set of exhaust tips from a 2009 997S to go on my 2006 NON-S. Does anybody know if I will be able to make these fit? I know I can fit the S tips from a 997.1 onto a Non-S with a flange/adapter ... but will the newer year tips fit mine? Please let me know if anyone has made this happen! Thank you.

Most if not all exhaust tips are passive so if the right adapter is used all should be good. Just make sure they fit in the rear cover opening.

They will fit with a flange adapter.

The OEM "S" tips are uber (nuts) expensive. If you haven't already sourced a set of tips I got mine (PSE style) from Nello at Maxspeed Motorsports - they came with the adapter and they're perfect!

Ouch . . . . . $450 a set.

Better weld them on at those prices.

Nice! How is the paint holding up? Thinking of doing the same thing! Where did you get the adapter needed?

If you can tighten a nut the fvd adapters are all you need. No shop. I might have a set of those FVD adapter left over if you are interested.

New OEM "S" exhaust tips are near $1K for the set. Great if you can find a used set on ebay!

Ebay tips+FVD adapter. The best way to go. The others have figured it out long before me. I tried to reinvent the wheel and went with cheaper adapter, it started to rust in no time and I don't ever have my car in the rain!
