That looks trick you could also paint the AC controls black to tie the whole package.

 

I like it, but isn't that a pretty serious glare/reflection you're getting from the glass? Is there a product that will give it a satin finish like the PCM has- in order to cut back on the issues with the sun?

 

Most screen covers will but from the driver's position it may be completely different.

 

I assume it doesn't have any of the PCM functionality. Do plan to integate the sound system or just listen to the tiny mini IPAD speakers.

Sorry but I don't quite get it. Shoving an Apple Mini IPAD in place of the PCM w/o making it perform various PCM tasks seems pointless to me. Am I missing something here?

 

He must be integrating it with the car somehow, i'm sure he's not just removing all the cars functions

 

ok, the iPad mini will connect and charge thru the original PCM wire loom. music will play thru the car's stereo. I didn't have navigation on my PCM so this upgrades worth something to me. with the use of a wireless obd2 compatible plug and will transfer a lot of info to the "torque" app. I can set wireless cameras that connect to the iPad either via Bluetooth or wifi and use them as backup cameras and upfront too... all iPad functions remain.

in regards of the PCM functionality, my car for some reason didn't have any enabled. no chrono control and not any user programmable settings. like I said, I used the PCM for music only and to see a full color screen render black, orange and white!

 

Looks like a great idea. Also, if you use the "tune in" radio app, instead of i heart, you will get any worldwide radio station, not just clear channel's. keep this going...awesome
