I'm afraid you going to have to 'bit the bullet' a revert to the proper size tire/wheel combo. If your rubbing in a 'near static mode' it'll much worse under dynamic loading (ie. hard cornering).

I'm not so sure about that. I had the same issue on my BMW when I switched to aftermarket wheels and tires (was going for a square setup for tire rotation). When I got done I literally had enough room to pinch a credit card between the tire and the bottom spring petch, and it didn't rub, no matter how hard I pushed it.
