To those of you who change your own oil, where do you buy the filter from?

I buy OEM filters, comes with the required washer and O Rings

 

Several of the vendors that sponsor this forum sell oil filters. Check out Pelican Parts and ECS Tuning - just to name a couple of them. Mann, Mahle, and Hengst filters are almost identical.

Golen i never seen that setup how do you like it? Is it a easy install?

 

I did the same. Bought the adapter from Pelican. Use a WIX spin-on filter from local parts house.

 

I almost bought the adapter but I continue to like seeing the filter naked. Gives me assurance that I don't have any shiny flakes floating around.

 

Very easy install.So glad I did this mod along with a magnetic drain plug!
