997.2 Handeling

Hello 6speed members! I am having an issue with my 997.2. I am currently running PSS9s w/ PASM but for some reason the car feels like it floating or that feeling of driving on a very windy day when i get up to speed. I have brought the car into the dealership several times and they have aligned the car, checked the camber and the toe and the car still seems to be having this issue/feeling of getting blown around. Has anyones experienced this before or have any insight what could be causing this feeling?

What do you mean by floating? How does it handle undulations? Do you feel any yaw in this floating feeling? A good suspension will soak up bumps. Where is your ride height set?

Ill have to get the exact ride height, it was lowered. Still running 19" wheels. The reason why i say floating is because normally at least with other 997s and 987s i have owned/driven you feel sucked down to the ground. With this car you don't get that feeling. You feel like your "floating on top". As far as yaw, if i understand correctly if I'm driving in a straight line and make a slight turn to the left or right as if I'm avoiding something in the road i feel the car/ weight of the car lean in that direction but then oscillate back to its original point almost over correcting/exaggerating the sway back, compared to other cars i have driven where every movement is stiff and precise. I shouldn't be feeling the car sway all over the place like a rubber band...

A good suspension is so capable of soaking up high frequency bumps you might think you're floating. Don't confuse feeling every bump as being connected. If you're feeling them, you might be bouncing off them. I've always found it best to set aftermarket suspension to max ride height so as to not loose any suspension travel. That's usually much lower than OEM anyway.

How's the cornering? Should be more flat with the PSS9s.

Do you really have the PSS9 suspension? Or do you have Damptronics? You could most likely use the PSS9s but the Damptronics would work with your PASM control.
