Sport button 997.1

Is it worth installing that sport button on 997.1 manual without a sports exhaust. Apart from also activating the PASM, I understand it would only effect the throttle response. Any noticeable difference?

I have it in my car and must admit, it's the first button I hit everytime I start the car.

There is no over boost on a Carrera. You can get the same throttle response from most software flashes

Oops, I incorrectly assumed that you were referring to the button on a Turbo.

I dont think i could drive the car without the sport button activated. The throttle response is night and day IMO

I have it n my 06 and never use it. It's too extreme for the track and the street.

+1. I cannot drive without the sport button. Car under performs IMO without it on. My first button the click when I start up. Wish there was a way to just leave it on.

How do you "just add" a sport button? Isn't there more to it than that?

Yes, it is very noticeable. I think it is fun. I dont use it everyday, but when I do it feels like a totally different car.

$900 for the sport button plus install, to much money for something that gives you the same thing a Sprint Booster or Softronic flash can do for a lot less hassle of installing.
