Lucky Day
Lucky Day
Was just driving down Beach Blvd in Orange County and passed a flat bed truck transporting two beat up old cars on the back. Driver was obviously distracted because he was not staying in lane. Quickly passed and was on my way.
Got stopped at the next light with cars all around me and hear a loud screeching nose followed by bang.
Its the flat bed truck truck slamming on brakes and hitting right quarter panel of the car behind me. The truck is now up on sidewalk knocking down everything its in path including a huge power pole with lands inches from my car.
The truck finally comes to a stop about 30 feet down the sidewalk when its crashes into a building.
Light turns green and off I go without a scratch.
I'm not driving anymore today and may never take Beach Blvd again.
Time to buy some lotto tickets.

Thought about taking a picture but just wanted to get home
Light turned green and I was gone. Could be still they waiting to get car towed off, taking pictures of my messed up 911 to post here.
So glad to be home safe and car not damaged.

WOW...had a scare of same sort myself today. Just got back to my office to enjoy my sandwich. On the way to get the meal, I came to an intersection, in which this intersection has a "cross traffic doesn't stop" sign posted. Knowing this I paused as I got to the intersection to make a right turn. Looked up and there was a Camry heading from my left and then an Escort coming from behind on the left. The Escort never stopped and just creamed the Camry going about 30+. I'm so glad I looked ahead and I just sat there and watched the whole thing unfold. Really scary to see it happen.
One was injured and the other, who caused the accident, seemed ok. Glad I didn't go into that intersection! I'm back at my desk enjoying lunch and typing this...could have been worse!!

Man ! You are lucky!
You just recall my bad memory : (
It was 2 years ago, when I drove my cayman(sold) on the highway, I got hit by a huge shovel!!! And the front hood is gone...
I have no idea where was it from...
It just hit me so fast and so hard...

If my wife asks me to go back out to the store or something, I'm like "Hell no!"
OP - glad to hear you made it out okay.
