Turning 40/first Porsche

So, I'm turning 40 in a couple of days and just bought my first Porsche: '06 911 S Cabriolet w/ 17,000 miles. Call it a midlife crisis, but this car is the most fun I've ever had behind the wheel--have driven a few Lambo Gallardo's, Astin Martins, pretty much every M series BMW ever made in 2007, and even a Ferrari F430. Realistically, I probably like driving this car more than any other simply because it's mine!

Suggestions on modest upgrades to this car? I've contacted FD Motorsports regarding a Fister exhaust which is number 1 according to my research... What's next after the exhaust bypass. I have a hard time sitting still/being content!

Thanks in advance...Name: Decatur-20130421-00113.jpg

It's a beauty. Congratulations. Standard treatment for my 997's have been:

Clear side markers
Lowering springs or coilovers
Wheel spacers
Exhaust (I like Tubi)
HRE or Champion wheels
Short shift kit if a manual

That's a great Birthday Present Congrats on the purchase. I would consider some Clear side markers, a LED interior lighting kit, and SSK (If it's a manual) for now then after a few miles under your belt possibly some suspension upgrades. For more information Click Here.

Congrats !

Since u r already getting Fister/Gundo, only 2 thing u need are IMO:

1- clear side markers.

2- SmarTop

(and SSK if u have manual)

Later u can change the wheels for a lighter set. Those Carrera Sport wheels are nice to look at.. but weigh a ton and act as an anchor.
ask me how i know..
https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...installed.html

of course u can always add some personalization

but these cars really don't need much modding to enjoy

How much do they weigh, heavier than turbo 997.1 wheels? I'm obsessed with those wheels.
