Wheel cleaners

Looking for a good wheel cleaner for in between washings, primaliry after a nice drive, i usually let her cool down and wipe clean with a detailer then cover, have not tried the detailer spray don't think it will cut the brake dust enough, wheels are stock classics. any suggistions ?

P21S Gel, buy it in bulk from autogeek.net. In a small 32 oz bottle I use about 16 oz per wash - so bulk is the way to go. I think I get 128 oz for like $100. Lasts me a while.

+1. Buy the 128 oz. it's a good deal. Stuff works great. Keeps you from scrubbing wheels. Spray it on, wait 15 minutes and rinse with a hose.

P21S wheel gel/5 liter here too...but I think the OP was looking for something between washes, and you don't want to use wheel cleaner unless you are washing.

I let it get dirty, never wipe down anything dry. Wash as needed.

Rejex (we carry it) for wheels, painted surfaces, etc. Makes 'em slick.

"sonax full effect" for when you are going to do a full top to bottom detail. The stuff stinks to high heaven but cuts even the meanest brake dust from my wife's mini cooper. It is not for quick detailing though. I'd just use a damp rag for a quick wipedown for those occasions.

Armorall Wheel Protectant. You spray on after you wash the wheels. it is great stuff...completely prevents all brake dust and dirt form sticking to the wheels

Best wheel cleaner I've ever seen. Mix one ounce with three ounces of water and you're good to go. I got the Chemical Guys dual action sprayer makes it super easy to spray on.
I will try this. Anyone else? How does it compare to P21S?

Anyone ever you "scrubbing bubbles" (the bathroom cleaner) on their wheels? Read about this on the BMW boards...

+1 for Sonax, for me it seems stronger than P21S, and more expensive. I keep a bottle around in case the rims are real nasty. Anyone use Chemical Guys Diablo Wheel Cleaner? Thoughts?

Simple Green for lightly dusted wheels . I fill up a garden fertilizer pump sprayer (available at Home Depot) with 3/4 Simple Green and 1/4 water. It makes it easy to get inside the wheels with a long angled nozzle. Spray it on liberally on the wheels. Leave it for 5-10 mins then spray with garden hose. For heavy dirt, I go with Sonax.

We recently got Chemical Guys and I have to say it's worked wonders on my wheels for my DD. I really just wanted to try it and see what it was all about and I have no complaints and recommend it to anyone.

You guys should buy the p21s power red gel from the uk. It blows away the p21s we get here. I buy bilberry wheel cleaner and auto finesse imperial wheel cleaner.

I have been reading from some detailer guys that 1z einzsett color tec wheel cleaner is similar to sonax, but works faster and cheaper.

Buy your stuff from detailersclub.com and not autogeek. AG is the scum of the planet. It's the only place where idiots say that 20 dollar collinite wax is better than 400 dollar swissvax wax regardless of cost.

Raceglaze XL wheel brush and wheel woolie brushes are a must for cleaning wheels. I also like auto finesse boars hair brushes too.
