BTW, before I purchase this car, I did post the same questions and follow many great advises from this board members. I am not here to scam anyone, I did not offer a price tag on my car. I just saying for the right price he can buy it from me. If you look for my posting, you know exactly how much I paid for it. There is absolutely no reason for me to scam anyone here on this board.

It's not a C21 . Notice that a c21 has a step lip. That wheel has a reverse lip and was quite popular back in 06-07 . There are quite a few posts about vibration in the rain with a reverse lip wheel . It's worth researching .

3. Yes, does have PSE.
4. A few small marks on the conver top, but nothing major. Other than that...very very clean

I'd have to have an independent PPI done prior to purchase.

So what do you think price wise? Was thinking of offering $45k and see how hard they laugh. Cash. New rubber too btw. Brand new Michelin brand.
Do the PPI . Also do a DME scan to detect over revs . 45 is too low if the car is clean . My guess is that they want 50K .

49-51K

WCS,
The car looks great. You'll certainly have to drive it and have an inspection done. If all comes out good, I'd go for 47K and probably not over 49K.
Hope it works out.

I wouldn't fret too much about IMS on an 06. It has been blown a way out of perspective considering the low percentage of 05 cars that have had that issue. All soft tops have marks on them due to how they are stowed when top is down. The new tires would mean more to me than those wheels. Don't pay attention to the $10k value they put on the wheels. You can get nice wheels of your choice anytime for between $2k and $3k, or factory wheels for less. You'll get a whole range of opinions here, but at some point you'll need to decide what you're willing to pay. Be careful not to spend too long wringing your hands as someone else could snap it up from under you. Hope you get it, as it is a lovely looking car provided the PPI is good.

Its a lovely car which is incredibly well optioned. I think you are going to have to pay much closer to asking price than some people are suggesting here. If the PPI checks out including DME, it has a full service history with all the stamps in the book and you have both keys then I think you will find that getting him down as far as 53 would be a hell of an achievement.
If the car had 40k or more on the clock then 49 to 50 would might be achievable. Let us know what the dealer says.

Thanks again for all the advice fellas. On a PPI, I'm assuming I make the offer, but contingent on the results of the PPI?? Or do you pay for a PPI first and then make the offer? I'd assume it is the former.

Looks like they dropped the price $1k on another add I viewed. 55k to 54k.

bump. any thoughts on the above post. Thanks again guys. Btw, it has a short shifter too - not sure if that's a big deal or not. I really don't think this thing is missing ANY stock upgrades that I can tell.

Work out the OTD numbers first, make sure seller know your intention. Do PPI last, also dont forget to do a final walk thru before signing. Come prepare with check list, latex gloves, flash light, eye goggles. If they have problem, walk.

Another tip, beside fresh oil, make sure so are the brake fluid, coolant, PS, & micro filter. Basically you shouldn't have to do a scheduled maint until much later.

Be familiar with the basic computer function, i.e. oil level check, tire pressure, etc...

Be firm when sitting with the finance guy, they will try sell other unnecessary stuff.

Personally, I like buying P car at an AD, like watches. Peace of mind.

Example of a fine CPO, less optioned though.

Question: how long has it been listed?

Been listed for two weeks. It's an exotic car dealer who's selling it - they purchased it from Beverly Hills P. Not sure why BHP didn't sell it outright.

Another nugget: This was an early 06' (made in the latter part of 05). So this would have the smaller IMS correct? And potentially be more problematic than a later 06+ model?

Thanks for the info Tphan

Recent Manheim Auction price on a 2006 C2S Cab with 27K miles is $45K (Auction) to $55K (retail) in Above average condition. $42K/$50K Wholesale/retail in average condition.

They have priced it at the very high end IMO. Given that they need to make some money (and you'll want to buy a warranty) I'd say shoot for less than $50K.

Recent transactions:
05/16/13 DETROIT Regular $43,400 38,098 Above
05/23/13 PALM BCH Regular $39,300 34,918 Avg
06/13/13 DFW Regular $39,000 48,862 Avg
06/20/13 ATLANTA Regular $39,800 43,937 Avg
07/02/13 RIVRSIDE Regular $34,000 77,253 Below
07/24/13 CHICAGO Regular $42,350 26,672 Avg

Correct if i am wrong, IMS issue was "supposed" resolved in late 2005 production car.

"Not sure why BHP didn't sell it outright." my question too.

From CarFax, maybe I am paranoid but this sound like water damage.

If a car in excellent condition, those interior SHOULD NOT be worn out to the point of repair. I think Tphan is right about the water damage, also, their asking price is way too high, my car is 2008 C2S cab only 13k miles and in show room condition, the previous owner bought it in 2009 with only 2000 miles, he kept his car like a trophy and I bought it for $53.5k. I wouldn't touch that car, there are many other cars out there for that price range in immaculate condition. I bought it about a month ago and I did an PPI. If you keep looking you might find a better one. Do not rush to buy a P car, it took me 6 months to find this car, then I posted online asking for fellow 6speeders opinion. They are very very helpful IMO

Thanks guys.

Interesting - that does sound like it could be water damage of some sort. The interior sure checks out fine however.
