Pricing on an 06 2S Cab
New to the Porsche world, but have taken a like to a 2006 Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet in Black with FULL Black Leather interior with sport chrono. The 911 has 27k miles and in amazing condition. The car has $10,000 HRE 3 Piece Wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero, Brand New Clutch (Receipts), Fresh Oil. Clean Carfax.

Anyway, was hoping to get some of your expert opinions on pricing and anything else. Seems overpriced based on what I've researched so far, but damn, she's a beauty and I'm fallin in Love!!!
Thanks for your help guys

48-50k would be fair for both of you, below 48k you win IMO. Wheels add value but not 10k, really an accessory is only of value to the seller and may be appealing to a buyer, but for the most part you shouldn't expect .10 from anything you add, its for your satisfaction - period.
Car is a beauty! I have the same with OEM wheels. I love those wheels on the car, I saved the pics.you should buy it and trade me for my OEM wheels!

Well, I would like to think it is worth close to that asking price, given the great color combo (love triple black), full leather, sport exhaust, nice wheels, low mileage, apparent very clean condition, etc.). But full disclosure requires me to admit that I have a similarly equipped 06 C2S cab, so I'm a little biased.
This looks like a very nicely optioned car with low miles. I wouldn't recognize the $10k value of those wheels, and would put the real value at about $2k over a car with factory wheels, equivalent to what you would pay for a set of used equally nice HRE or Champion wheels.
If you really like it (and why wouldn't you?), offer what it is worth to you based on other alternatives you may be considering.

They look similar to HRE C21, but are slightly different. I can't find exact same wheel on HRE website. See link to Wheel Enhancement.

Thanks for the input guys. To answer some questions,
1. Correct, no warranty. The IMS issues scare the livin crap out of me btw.
2. The replaced clutch concerned me as well. The said it was replaced by Beverly Hills Porsche and the mechanic said this is usual around the 30k mile mark...sounded a lil fishy to me.
3. Yes, does have PSE.
4. A few small marks on the conver top, but nothing major. Other than that...very very clean
I'd have to have an independent PPI done prior to purchase.
So what do you think price wise? Was thinking of offering $45k and see how hard they laugh. Cash. New rubber too btw. Brand new Michelin brand.

Beside Edmunds and KBB i would get number from the national price index.
Assuming all are good, a cabrio S like that would average in 55K range in Austin/Dallas/Houston/SA area.
Initial offer of 15% less than asking price is reasonable, laugh or no laugh, you are one with the money & you control the game.
Being a manual transmission car with new clutch, i would ask for report on over rev, and hour of use vs. mileage comparison (good indicator if car was tracked).
Good luck.

How is the depreciation on 911's? I've been looking at Jag XKR's and the depreciation on those is just ungodly. I don't mind paying up for a nice rig, but getting smoked on depreciation is a concern. I realize there will be some, but the jag is just of control. I was hoping the Porsche helps hold the value, at least a little.
Any more opinions on pricing would be appreciated as well. KBB is in the low 50's private party, but NADA and Edmunds are way lower. Low 40's. Not sure what to make of it?? Thanks guys

if you really like that car, you might like my car better
2008 Carrera S cabriolet 13,200 miles, with upgrade Bose sound system, multi disc cd changer, short shifter, passenger airbag off/on switch, power seat package, rear parking sensor, heated front seats, windstop, and 19" carrera classic wheels with full color badge. Just did oil change, brake fluid flushed, rear tires are about 2 months old, front tire still have very thread left. I am changing the air filter and cabin filter tomorrow. Just bought it a month ago, but thinking about upgrade to turbo or newer GT3, wife is out of the country for another month and this is the best time to buy a new car before she come back
I don't have to sell it yet, because I am very much loving my car if you give me the right offer
Also, if you want warranty I also have 6 years 60000 miles expire in 2019 from Costco

I paid 53500 for more or less same car in Feb. Mine was a 07 but no PSE. Had 750 less miles on it.
I bought a 3 year carchex warranty due to being worried about ims issue. Cost me another 3k. Car looks great its well optioned and low miles. You will do well to get dealer to give you anything off. You won't be disappointed I love mine. Nothing beats dropping the top on a sunny day and making the engine howl

Just in response to depreciation, while its hard to give exact numbers I recon after 3 years if it is around 40k mile rate it will be still worth at least 36 to 42 dependent upon condition time of year etc.
That is presuming it follows exact same depreciation path as the 996.

I sell anything for the right price
I love my car, but if someone willing to pay for more than what I bought it for, it will be sold. I am just putting it out there if he is considering, my next car will be turbo or GT3, if anyone willing to pay for the right price, I will provide a free carfax report, PPI from Hawaii Porsche Dealer and disclose full history records, I have nothing to hide, but if there is a chance to upgrade for a better toy, I am all in.
