H&R - How stiff is the ride on a C2S in normal mode?

Hi Guys,

I have purchased a set of H&R springs for my 07 C2S but have not installed it yet. I wanted it only for one reason. And that is to reduce the gap around the wheel well. My car is a weekend driver. I love the luxury of having two modes: 1) normal mode for more comfortable ride and 2) sports for more aggressive driving. The stiffness in sports mode is my ideal setting for more aggressive driving but I can probably tolerate a little extra stiffness knowing I can always fall back to normal mode on rougher roads. In fact, I drive in sports mode 80% of the time.

I'm reaching out to all you folks who are running on H&R on your C2S. I'm obviously trying to gauge the ride should I decide to install the springs. It would have been nice if I can ride on someone's car and get a first hand feel of it. But I don't have this luxury. My questions are:

1) How much stiffer does the ride get in normal mode? Is it in between normal and sports? Or is it comparable to sports mode?
2) How much stiffer does the ride get in sports mode?

Thanks in advance for your all your feedback.

---Romy

C4S here but suspension is the same as far as I know. Could not tell much if any difference in either mode. Maybe a hair firmer, that's all. Go for it.

After reading other threads on this subject, I'm convinced to go for it! Getting it installed today with 15/7mm spacers.

Both stock and H&R springs are progressive and found that H&R was close to stock over smooth pavement (small bumps) but significantly harsher over larger bumps. This makes sense since h&r has less travel...overall I'm happy with the change because I found the stock too soft.

06 C2S here.I have been very satisfied with the ride and closing up the wheel well gap.I really couldn't tell a lot of difference on normal mode.Sport mode a bit stiffer, but very tolerable.Main thing is watching out for bad dips in the road.

Just took a quick snapshot of my car this morning with my iPhone. So here she is!!! Can't comment on the ride yet since my installer somehow messed up the damper cable connection, hence PASM is always off (as in sports mode on all the time) right now.

Don't mind if I chime in...my 3rd Gen RX7 with Bilsteins shocks/struts, H&R springs, and 17" CCWs...it was HARSH. My wife said her chest hurt from bouncing...

My 07 C2S with Eibach springs and 19" wheels, it is HARSH. Maybe i am getting old

I have not have PASM on since...

But i wouldn't have it any other way...love the low looks.
