My Black Ceramic Coated Exhaust Tips

I wanted to post some pics of my newly coated black exhaust tips. I wanted to make sure to get it ceramic coated. The tips were polished stainless and then painted by the previous owner using crappy BBQ paint that started to flake off.

I got them done by Joe at Prodigy Coatings http://www.prodigycoatings.com

The price was great and black ceramic coating is much better than painting them.

Those look exactly like the ones I bought off a forum member and have my car. I absolutely love the look. Mine stick out the exact same length from the rear bumper, so I'm happy it wasn't my Tubi exhaust that was causing that. Beautiful color!

Funny thing i just sprayed on ordinary matte black paint on those things and ran the engine they have been tough and until now after a few months still have same color and no flaking whatsoever. Maybe i managed to baked the paint on the tips. And it cost me so little.

Paint will hold up for a while. But eventually, maybe after a year or so, it will flake. Painting again, when it flakes is an option.

Looks super clean! Changes the look of the back of the car..much more aggressive! We do that a lot and ive always been a big fan! I know painting can work as long as its the proper high temp paint...last thing you want is that stuff smoking and melting off!
