Anyone ever use Fix-a-Flat?

That's basically my question. Has anyone on 6speed ever used Fix-a-flat to keep your car on the road until the new tires arrive at your local tire shop?

I discovered a slow puncture Friday night on my rear passenger side wheel.
As my car is 20 miles from my home, inside a parking structure, my options are:
1. Fix-a-Flat
or
2. Roll it down to the first floor and call a flat bed truck.

I'm just looking for any experiences with Fix-a-flat. Did it keep your car on the road (driving cautiously of course) for a couple of days until your replacement tires showed up? Any feedback is welcome.

Fix-A-Flat will probably screw up the tire pressure monitor in that wheel. Recommend you buy a portable air tank (@ any Pep Boys) that you can fill at any shop that has a pressurized air source. That will allow you to top off the tire and get you to the first floor to get the car flat-bedded to the shop, or at least drive it to the shop. If it is a bad leak you may have to top it off on the way.

Or, take the wheel off yourself and take it to the dealer to get it fixed, then re-install. Either way has to be cheaper than paying for a tow to the shop.

discount tire does free tire repair if it's in the tread. Regarding fix a flat, the stuff called green slime works much better. I've used it several times on my ATV's with success.

Supposedly, it is corrosive and that most places will charge you extra to clean up your wheel.

2 out of 3, it worked for me though I would only use it for real emergencies.

Why not use the green stuff and the air compressor that came with your car ? Don't the '06 models come with this stuff .

Just another though: If you can see the nail and it s not in the sidewall you can roll the car so you can reach the nail, pull it out and insert a cheap plug (you can get kit at Walmart)... refill with portable compressor tank or compressor equipped in the Porsche. You can safely drive this way at anything but high speed until your new tires get here.

A couple of answers to some of the posts:
1. Thank you for your feedback. I have since tried Fix a Flat and I can confirm it does not work (at least not for me).
2. I bought a 12V compressor to try and inflate the tire and that didn't work either. Now the valve/stem appears damaged as well.
3. I did manage to add just enough air to drive to the ground floor of the parking garage.
4. Green stuff / aircompressor that came with the car? Where would I find that?
5. As I have 5000 miles on my rear tires, I need/want to replace them both. Additionally, most tire places do not carry this size tire so I have to wait a few days for the tires to show up.
6. No TPMS on my car.

Answer to # 4 is the compressor is located under the carpet coated plastic mat in the front trunk. The green tire goo, or whatever color it is, is behind a small door at the bottom of the front most portion of the firewall carpeted section in the trunk. At least, that's where they are on my C4S. But then you've solved the problem already so none of this advise is all that critical at this point.
