What oil pressure should I expect to see at say 3000 rpms on a warm engine? I'm seeing 4 to 4.5 and it buries to max (5) above that. Normal?

My wife loves the car and we are beginning to plan some of the road trips we've dreamed of. Headed south first maybe as far as FL. Those backroads in Gainesville are fantastic.

Just took my wife for her first romp. We have a winner.
I have an 09 with a DFI motor so consider that when I say "I agree the oil pressure looks high".

It even looked high in the pic you posted but I assume that was with the old motor? Maybe the gauge? I think you should see 3 at 3000 RPMs.

BTW/ nice car, nice owner attitude in light of the bumps.

Maybe the gauge. I'll double check the sending unit connection. That is the new motor in the picture.

I think you are on the right track. Maybe do a search as
this topic has been up before. I m sure the dealer will assist also as they just replaced motor. A dealer told me when I was test driving a 2007 and noticed a very high gauge on the oil that those gauges sometimes do that. ??

Too Tall - how tall are you and how well do you fit in the car?

I'm 6'5" and curious to get your thoughts.

6'8" I've a 37" inseam and 37" sleeves so pretty even all around. There is plenty of room overhead about 4" The ONLY thing I'd like to change is getting the steering wheel perhaps 2" closer but it's not awkward even as is.

My dog likes the car

I've decided not to alter the factory steering wheel using a spacer. That will change the geometry of the airbag deployment and there isn't a really good reason to do this. I'm feeling pretty comfortable and heck I've been compromising all my life!

You gents are world class enablers. Clear sidemarkers installed today, it could not be easier and is a terrific look.

Better pics coming....

I've got a buddy that's 6'8" and owns/drives a 71 wide body 911 track car. He modded the interior to fit better. He was REALLY surprised at how well he was able to be seated and drive my 997.2! I was too honestly, since his track car has a modded seat location.

I'm 6'1" and since I've had the car the last few weeks I find myself moving the seat more and more forward and tilting the seat back up a little more, letting the seat support me vs. leaning forward. The controls are so much easier to operate. I even put my 10 yo daughter in the seat behind me once and really moved the seat up. Felt like I was driving a go kart! But still able to operate everything comfortably. Pretty amazing car!

I can't stop driving this car I've knocked out another 1,000 miles and am starting to get comfortable with it. The new engine is breaking in nicely and some serious Kudos go to my Porsche Dealership. The car is perfect and when I say perfect I mean OMG what a blast.

She still hasn't used enough oil to speak of. I did a quick oil change at under 1,000 miles post engine replacement.

Do I have a radio in the car? Beats me, the sound of this car is amazing and it helps me to learn the shift points without looking at the tach. For now I keep shifts in the vicinity of 4K. I've GOT to get the car out of town. City driving is making me nuts. This weekend headed to the mtns.
