What is this worth?

I know what KBB says but was wondering what the members think of this.
  • 2011 Carrera 4S PDK.
  • Porsche Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle with just 9,900 miles.
  • Classic Platinum Silver Metallic with Black Leather.
  • Options include Sport Chrono Plus, Xenon headlamps with Dynamic Cornering light,
  • Infotainment package including GPS Navigation and Bose audio system,
  • Comfort package,
  • Power seat package,
  • Rear park sensors,
  • PDK Sport steering wheel,
  • 19" turbo wheels,
  • One-owner
  • Flawless condition

Dealer original price was $82K. They came down to $76.5K.

Do you think its a good deal or should I get them to go about $74K?

Sounds pretty good to me. I offered a private seller 73K last week for an almost identical car and lost out to someone who paid 74.5. Plenty of dealers are asking well into the 80's for similar cars with higher miles.

Obviously if you can get them to $74k....that's a better deal on what sounds like a pretty fair asking price to begin with!

You have an amazing ride! How do you like it in terms of ride, performance and usability? It is your daily? How do you like the PDK?

I could wait for another year to pull the trigger on a 2013 991 C4S but I don't think prices will drop to $80-90K for a 991 C4S

Or

Offer the dealer $76.5K shipped to my house (about 600 miles away). I think shipping is worth $800-1200?

.

Mark-

I love the car and the PDK is great (I also have a BMW Z8 6sp for my clutch foot fix...). The car is my daily driver - now has 34.5K miles on it and the PDK is great especially if you have to deal with traffic and rush hour at times. At the same it is awesome for more spirited driving and offers many options and combinations depending on the conditions and driving preference.

1) Fully Manual (using steering wheel controls or stick) in any of the three shift modes (Base, Sport, Sport+)
2) Fully Automatic (Base, Sports, or Sports+)
3) Combination of any above with leaving the car in auto and then shifting up or down manually

I typically drive fully manual - Sport and PASM off or in Auto with Sport on and PASM off shifting manually as need (or desire) arises. I only leave the PASM on when on more spirited drives on the back roads as I find it too hard and bumpy on normal daily commuting.

See if your seller will ship free. I did pay for the Porsche shipping about $1200 from VA to IA. However, my wife just bought a BMW X3 and the dealer shipped it free form AL to IA. You could make that the deal closer.
Good luck !

Thanks again!

One more thought. I found a 2010 C4S Cab with same options and about 5K miles. He is asking around $71K. I like Cabs but I don't know how much I would use the top down. I had a Targa and love that. I think a coupe w/sunroof is perfect. But I'm lured by the low mileage, options and price. Thoughts?

Cab sounds great too - I am lucky to have both options in my garage... Both sound like a fair deal - not much if any changes between 2010 and 2011 so it will be a question of options and personal preference to have a cab or not. If you go with the 2010 you will have some money over for mods etc. I don't think you can go wrong with either. The 2011 was CPO - is the Cab also? That is additional piece of mind so if the 2010 is not, take that into consideration.

The 2011 is a coupe (silver)
The 2010 is a vert (dark gray)

The benefit of the 2011 is the CPO/warranty.
The vert has low miles of 5K... but 9K vs 5K miles isn't that big of a difference to me.
