Jacked my 997 for the first time
Hi guys thanks to some help on this forum I was able to jack up my car on 4 stands.
Using 1 jack I jacked the rear jack points on each side to fit the front stands, then jacked under each side of rear suspension cross member to fit the rear jack stands.
So happy to have the car at home rather than at the shop for days, am having the rim scrapes repaired. Then a buff. Then a photo shoot

congrats man.
but do yourself a favor and get a set of ESCO flat top stands. perfect for the porsche jack points. while i can appreciate your jack "mods", but do you really want to be jerry rigging when you are trusting something to hold close to a 1000lbs, possibly while you're underneath it?

Let your wife drive the car and you will learn what a rim scrape is

yes it is, why do u say that? It's directly under the round hole in the jack point.

No worries, it just didn't look right to me. Probably because I use the OEM jack pads and am used to seeing those. Also I was viewing from a smaller screen and couldn't make out some of the detail.

I have Conti tires. The sidewalls stick out well beyond the rims. I don't think I could get curb rash if I tried. Just in case, my wife and her dad can't drive it! Post pics after the photo shoot!

Cleaned the wheel arches with poly grease wipes, cleaned the calipers with baby wipes then Nanolex paint cleaner then sealed them with Nanolex sealer. I also wiped down the discs with isopropyl alcohol, there was a lot of black stuff that came off the discs, it almost didn't stop coming off, I am going to try to clean the other side of the discs tomorrow.
