I would guess fuel pump - but first I would have it flat bedded to my dealership to have it diagnosed and fixed quickly and properly.

Do fuel pumps become erratic? (on again, off again) Also, is it something that could completely cutout while driving? Is it a pain in the a$$ to get changed? Thanks.

Intermittent cold stalling problems are frequently fuel-related. Pumps can begin to cut out, causing decreased fuel pressure, especially after several years or miles. Have it completely diagnosed before beginning to throw parts at it.

These cars a are sensitive to a lot of things like fuel, air, electrical, and if something is not right they shut done. I agree it needs to be checked for what codes it is throwing.

Could also be bad gas (high water content). You might try putting a bottle of Heet in there.

agreed on gas.
I was getting petro-Canada 94 (only one giving 94 octane) and engine was doing a lot of miss-fire (en code, but I could hear it)
switched to Esso (Exxon) 91 and runs like a charm

gas/pump sounds like a culprit. but something also to think about, MAF. simply disconnect it then see if problem persists while running with it disconnected.
