Thanks Doc, I ordered the ZO6 and should get delivery by November. I had an 01 ZO6 and that car was a blast to drive. I miss the power of my Stage IV TT but the Z should hold me over till the TT arrives. That's a great idea to powdercoat them, I figured it was a cheap way to have some wheels to fill up the gap especially when lowered. The stock wheels have a horrible off-set and look even worse when lowered.

Tony, Now I am confused. Which "stock wheels have the horrible off-set and look even worse when lowered".
I was planning on using my Carrera 19" sport wheels in lowering the car. Are you talking about the early turbos or the 19" wheels.

Thanks

My 997 came with 18" wheels and 265's in the rear. I used the 18" wheels that came with my 02 TT that I had in the garage collecting dust and greatly improved the offset on the stock 18's my 997 came with. Your car should look even nicer because of the 19" sport wheels. Sorry to confuse.

Just got it back from a very good independent Porsche store near me. Car sits about 1.5" lower and tires don't seem to rub yet. Does slightly bottom-out on my driveway.
Had the alignment done. Tech said factory alignment was 2.5 degrees positive camber on one side and .5 degrees negative on the other. Car DOES look good!!

My Boxster's alignment, was out every 6 months, famous on Porsches, lets see how my 997 looks on specs after my drop. I need to go have it checked.....

Do any of these lowered cars have PASM? If so what springs work good with PASM. Thanks,
Todd

I have read that either H&Rs or Eibachs can be used w/o effect on the PASM. Thats only what I read.

PS. I drove my car this am and tried to be real careful when entering and exiting a few driveways (different friends and my favorite restaurant) and didn't scrape at all except my own driveway.
