RED Interior?

I am considering a car with an all red interior. The red looks fabulous and I am willing to live with the resale impact when I go to sell the car five years from now, but I am wondering:

Does anyone else have a car with an all red leather interior?
Does the red color get marked up easily?
Is it difficult to maintain?

Thanks.

I have carrera red (natural) interior in my 997. Love it. No harder to maintain than other colors. replacement parts could be harder to source though if you had to replace anything.

I had a red interior Camaro Berlinetta umpteen years ago. Cleaning is no different.

Personally, it was awesome in the showroom and for a while. After a very few months, the color just became too much for me. Just FYI.

Resale impact? I would assume a rare interior like that would do nothing but help the resale value. I think its gorgeous, and considering the way trends are going, red interiors are getting more desirable by the day.

It's all about what floats your boat--- like

Some people like red dash gauge lighting. Some don't!"

Without getting into details, I fell for a red car. I stared at it for 2 hours (seriously) at the dealer showroom and the novelty finally died.

Ensure it is what you want and forget about our input.

I would only consider red deviating stitching for the leather interior as I have in my red C4S. It's subjective. Personally I may only consider partial red interior. Good luck!

I have a red interior in my Aston and it looks great. If that is what you like and enjoy for a Porsche, great. Don't worry about resale unless plan flipping the car.

That said, I do think if there is no contrast like black dash, steering wheel, etc, it can be overpowering to own, and a more difficult one to sell.

You can always downplay the red with some pieces in black or carbon fiber. You will stand out from the 1000's of black, beige and grey interiors. My 2 cents...

Btw, the best cars to own are:

1. You don't have any doubts about it and you don't have to ask for anyone's feedback.
2. You don't even think about the car when you write the check to the bank or to the mechanic.

Cheers!

Full leather red interiors are very classic and historic to Porsche. Never seen one that wasn't gorgeous. However, I have seen lately other makes mate red interiors to exteriors like blue and even yellow, which is no go. Red is best mated to silver, gray, white, or black exteriors.

With regards to: "1. You don't have any doubts about it and you don't have to ask for anyone's feedback. "

My original question on this thread was an inquiry about how well the red leather holds up and if it stains, etc. I was not asking your opinion about if I would like red or get tired of it.

I just don't want to get red if it is going to be impossible to maintain. I have heard for instance that white leather stains easily with blue jeans.

Thanks to all that replied.
