Help with oversteer..getting worse
For some reason I've noticed that I'm getting a lot more oversteer than normal in my 997.2 S.
I think I have oversteer right. When I'm going around a turn on the harder side the car keep going straight even when wheel turned.
Tires are on the newer side. They are Pilot Super sports that I purchase almost new on a fellow 6speeder.
Could this be...
1) Bad tires...could they be stale and hardened?
2) Tire pression off? Usually running 33 front and 38 rear
3) Anything else I could be missing.
It just seems to be worse then I have noticed it in the past.
Thanks for any help!

Understeer: When you turn the wheel but the car continues to "push" straight.
Oversteer: When you turn the wheel and the rear end becomes "loose" and slides out causing you to turn the wheel the opposite way to maintain direction.
Sounds to me like you're experiencing understeer?

-what type of driving you're doing (track/street)?
-How hard are you driving?
-outside temps/conditions?

As noted by a couple people already this could be temperature. Not sure where you are geographically but the tires in these cars are only rated to 40 degrees F. Below that they do not recommend their use as they lose most of the traction. If you are in a cold climate you will need separate winter tires.
Temp is a big item, but honestly I think weight transfer has a huge impact on understeer. With a rear engined car, if you don't appropriately transfer weight to the front wheels on turn in, you will understeer.
The times I have experienced under/over steer in a 911 were when the tires were going off. The ride gets bumpy, and does not smooth out when tires are up to temp, and steering gets iffy. I have seen this with 4 different versions of the 911, and along with the notchy transmission, seems to be consistent across the platform.

Temp is playing a big factor as others have said.
You can verify the tire date code here: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tirete....jsp?techid=11
And here's a great PDF found somewhere on the internet showing which ***** to turn to adjust over/under steer. The track folks like to play with negative camber as a first step:

Can you confirm the age of the tires? [Edit: I see now that semicycler asked about this already!) Look at the date code (with the two digit week and two digit year at the end a longer number, easily spotted because you can see they are pressed in differently than the other numbers).
Even if the tires have excellent tread they can be old and getting hard/slick. I noticed a recent seller of tires (either here or on Rennlist) saying that he had virtually unused tires for sale, but the date code showed early 2009... too old for performance driving in my opinion.

Thanks for all the great information....
I think it might be a bit of everything you all said.
1) I'm not racing just driving the car normally..and I notice it when I push the car here and there.
2) I'm in Los Angeles...it has been cold (for us) the past couple of weeks.
3) I'm sure I'm not doing the turns correctly...giving thottle through the turn putting the weight on the rear.
4) I'm going to check the date of the tires and let you all know. I do think this is part of the problem.

Well you learn something new everyday.
I looked at the date and it says 1011. So assuming the tires are from early 2011....almost 5 years old.
I wish I would have known this when I bought them.

That is just a little under 4 years (We just finished 0115, so they are 9 weeks short of 4 years). That isn't terrible, but combined with the recent cooler temperatures you said you've had, might add up to something fairly noticeable. I'm not sure how cool you have been there, but our summer tires aren't even recommended for use under 40 degrees. I know I can feel quite a difference anytime it gets below 50.
