Will a 997.1 Turbo FRONT Bumper fit on a 997.1 Narrow Body?

Looking to buy a Turbo front bumper off a 997.1 Turbo complete with fogs, and all...will this fit on my 2005 997S narrow body? I know when i had a 996 narrow body, the Turbo 996 front was direct fitment.

I did a search but for some reason didn't find an answer.

**Just did another search & found Justatoy's thread about it, however wasn't too clear, it was more talk about the fitting the LEDS

Front bumpers are the same size on all 997.1 so yes they are interchangeable. Pay attention to headlight washer nozzles present/absent and if there are holes for a license plate bracket. Rear bumpers are different sizes between NB and WB cars.

997.2 will fit too but the 997.1 lights cannot be reused, you will need 997.2 style. Not sure on the specifics, might be fogs only, perhaps headlights too. I'm sure someone with more experience will confirm the details.

No, he is saying that all 997.1 front bumpers are interchangeable. But if you wanted to use a 997.2 front bumper on a 997.1 you'd have to change the bumper/signal lights.

for turbo front end you will need the bumper, fogs, led's and a modified wire harness. don't forget that because the front bumper is slightly wider the the normal front bumpers there will be an inch wheelwell gap unless you replace the turbo front wheelwell liner as well.

Bringing back an old thread here, what do you do to the center part of the bumper since the NB Careers no 3rd radiator? Cover it up? Am curious as to whether leaving it open will cause air flow / aerodynamics issue.

Add the third radiator (pretty affordable) or I'm assuming you can use the blanking cover as is used on manual transmission carreras.

Thanks - Do you think that without a radiator/blanking cover, having a gap hole there will disturb the aerodynamics of the car?

yes it probably would at high speed as well as looking unfinished and collect garbage and bugs. The blanking cover is less than $100 and the third radiator kit is $300. pick one for best results. I would go for the Suncoast 3rd radiator kit in your situation if you can spare a few hundred. Extra cooling is never too much. Pretty sure this info is applicable to a turbo bumper but if in doubt call Suncoast and ask....they will inform you .

Haha yes i agree with you that Extra cooling is never too much. Just checked suncoast, the price is almost $1k for that, and shipping to my country will add on about 150-200$ more. https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/9972TRD.html

Rennline.

Must be a typo error but give them a call...maybe they will cut you a break for that.

So... given the fact that there are no great dimension differences between WB and NB front bumper, could one use a Turbo front splitter (chin spoiler ) at a 997.1 C2S bumper ????

Just asking ...
