Parking Brake Adjustment

When new, the parking brake would be fully up in just a couple or three clicks, now (6 years later) it takes 4-6 clicks and it still doesn't feel like it would hold the car like when new (yes, I always park it in gear with the parking brake engaged). Is the parking brake adjustment something I can do myself (anyone have the procedure available?) or something better left to the dealer?

Thanks!!

very simple adjustment. I was looking for the DIY I posted and see someone has the link above.
I also just had the switch replaced under warranty as the BRAKE light in the dash wouldn t light.

Must be brake season. I was trying to replace my pads yesterday and I found out that my rotors are at minimum before being turned. Man, 4 rotors do add up. Waiting for Pelicanparts to ship my rotors and fluid.

Oh well, at least his are just adjustments.

Think of your cost if you had the dealer do it .
