Treatment for black rubber
Coincidentally I just got this to darken the cowling below the windshield and around the wiper blades:
I'm doing a test where I applied it to the passenger half of the cowling a week ago and am going to see how it holds up as compared to the driver side. It made it notably darker and a tad more glossy, more like original, but is not crazy pitch black or wet looking. The liquid is not black either (a typical milky white) and cleans off unintended surfaces easily. The product description also claims to work on rubber.

I've used it with decent results but didn't seem to last. Let me know your results on the cowling.
