Exhaust system suggestions
Hey guys I have been lurking around the board but I cant find enough praise about any particular exhaust brand. I really dont want to do the PSE because I want peformance not only sound. I am looking to do a full setup with cats headers and mufflers. Please any dealers on here send me some PMs with pricing and/or soundclips. Anyone else who has some info please let me know also. Thanks again guys
PSI motorsport's full system sounds incredible. also check out Cargraphic, AWE, Fabspeed, FVD, Rinspeed, and Speedart. from the videos, my fave sounds are the PSI full system, Speedart full system, and Fabspeed muffler bypasses. PSI sounds like a straight race car...in my opinion, for full system, PSI Motorsport, FVD GT, and Speedart are the best sounding. fabspeed's muffler bypasses alone replicate a similar sound, but if you want (headers + cats, which gain power) + muffler bypasses than i'm not sure but i think it would be very very loud, whereas a full system with mufflers + cats + headers you get power plus everyday drivability. not to say that fabspeed's muffler bypass plus full system isn't driveable, but i doubt it's tame if you want a daily driver. hope the hosters of the vids don't mind me posting, but if you do then i will take it down.

I havent personally heard the PSI stuff in person, but I know a few guys on the west coast who have it and they say good things about it.
I have first hand experience with Cargraphic exaust products on my 996tt, cayenne turbo and 360. My brother just picked up a 997S and a complete cargraphic (header, cats, mufflers, tips) is on order. Erik and Hershel are top notch all the way.
I had a fabspeed on my 996tt and it made me hate my car for the month it was on. Not to mention "customer service" is not part of Joe fabianis business plan!
I think if you have to narrow it down between the bunch, its cargraphic or PSI. Check out the new excellence, there is an article with a black 997 cab with cargraphic exhaust featured.

We have been selling the 997 systems for a few months now. We have them in stock and can ship.
If you want to hear a 3rd persons perspective, call Justin Lane at Brandywine Porsche. They are a Porsche dealer and a board sponsor.

Here is a hint. Make sure you buy cat sections. That's a big secret to the power.

Neil, that's huge.
We tried tubing that big and lost torque. Is the entire system 70mm or just parts of it?

Headers, cats, and mufflers are all made about 100 feet from where I'm sitting typing this.

Yup, the big power gains are on the S model. The gains found on the standard 997 were the same as the NA 996.
We were so shocked by the dyno #'s we put it all back to stock and redynoed. Once we verifed the stock #'s again we put our system back on a re-verified the gains.
The entire staff stood around the dyno computer with their jaws on the floor.
