I looked at first vid and you can see how the water is being poured on and not sprayed and also from the high side of the panel. A trick that any waxed car will do. I think it s called sheeting. ? A trick to help make drying it faster too. If you look at second vid and see where it s spraying onto hood,,, it s beading up there and not running off.

I think the results are pretty consistent with a freshly waxed car .... I'm hoping it maintains this for over a year.

I'm well aware of the water sheeting effect off the car , and I purposely did it that way. Clearly splashing water all over the car isn't just going to fall off the paint.

Cool videos -- coated cars rock. I am going on 4 years on OptiCoat on my RS4 and it still performs like day 1.

Has anyone here applied it themselves???? How is it done? I imagine it s a do able project for someone with some knowledge in detailing.

Edit; did a google search and see it s very easy to apply for someone who details there own cars. Did the OPer do it himself?. Maybe a winter project for my cars.

How many applications will you get from a 30 or 50 ml bottle?

Thanks, maybe a 50 ml can do the 911 and my medium sedan DD...

After doing some reading I may give this stuff a try. Reps to the OPer.
