997.1 polish/wax for calipers?

Im changing my brake pads and it would not be possible to replace the pads and put together everything without giving the wheels and calipers a proper cleaning before assembling back again. Anyone have any suggestions on what to use to clean the calipers and if there is some type of polish / wax to bring the calipers back to life?

If you have the powered coated "S" calipers then there is nothing stronger you can put on them then they already have. they clean easy too with some soap and water or wheel cleaner for tougher ones... A coat of wax won t hurt but really will not do much. I do just for the peace of mind, LOL.

I use standard car washing soap to clean my calipers, and I put a coat of car wax on them after they are clean. I think you can use whatever wax you use on your car's paint and you'll be fine.

I do this twice a year, when I change my wheels for the seasons.

Thanks guys for the reply, I ended up cleaning them with the car wash soap and then adding the same car wax to them. I have the non S brakes, so they hat a metallic finish to them so it was a little harder to clean.

Wax/sealant's hugely beneficial to the calipers. I have the red's, and wax not only makes them look great, but help prevent brake dust to attach to any of the surfaces.

I actually slobber on a thicker coating of wax on the calipers for winter, and just leave it on them until spring. I do power wash the car in my wash bay when I return home to get the salt off, and sometimes re-apply wax as the season progresses.
