Hello, I am new to the community and I am looking for some opinions on the best possible full header back exhaust system for a 997 C4S. I am also looking for other options that can increase the performance of the vehicle while keeping the car N/A. Thank you in advance!
Agreed. If I had that kind of money to spend on my 997.1 C4s, I'd go with the supercharger.
That being said, I picked up headers and high flow cats, plus Softronic tune for my C4s, and expect a nice little bump once installed. But no way I would have paid full price for the parts new (except the tune, which you have no choice but to buy new.) I expect maybe 20-30 tq and hp gain when all is done, with a 94 tune. Where the VF vortech kit claims 160hp and 85 tq gain.

If you're looking for absolute perfection, engineering at it's finest and the best performance you can find on the market today, the choice is easily Akrapovič. Each system takes nearly a year of R&D to get absolutely perfect, and after several months of prototypes and designs, Akrapovič came up with this:
Our Kline Innovation System is pretty amazing as well. Made from Inconel 625 formula One grade and the latest possible full system. With the IPD comp plenum, intake and a nice tune the car should be very strong for a naturally aspirated set up. Let me know if I can help in anyway on any part of it.
Akrapovic is the way to go, best overall exhaust in the world.
Get more power out of N/A is not that easy and very expensive.
I have some dyno data of a 997.1 with GT3 TB, IPD plenum and software, then with IPE full decat exhaust, lot of cash and not that much gain. After that we installed a VF Supercharger, the guy stopped thinking about a 997 Turbo.
The SC Kit has almost the same feeling as the N/A, the power band is very similar. No heating issues or anything like that
All together, or individually. We offer Peformance HFC sections, headers, and mufflers.
For the sake of not cluttering this thread with beloved data -- A lot of it can be found under the 'Performance Specs' tab here: http://www.awe-tuning.com/awe-997sexhaust.
With each component, compared to stock, and with all of them together in different configurations.
I'm curious to see if you had moved forward on an exhaust! If not, I would be more than happy to help you get the perfect system ordered up! Our Performance Package covers everything you'll possible need from headers to tips to give you the great P car sounds you're looking for while adding significant power increases.
