Where Do You Keep Your Cell Phones?

Hi All!

New member and new first time Porsche owner here. My question is, Where are you keeping your cell phones while driving? Its apparent that my 997 has absolutely no efficient place except for the passenger seat especially while using the GPS. I don't like the slot under the radio.

I just ordered one of those clip on magnet cell phone mounts that click directly to your a/c vent. You basically install the other magnet to your phone case and it mounts directly to the circular clip on your vent. It was $6 so I figured id try it. Only problem I see, is that I HATE to block my vent from cold air.

I keep mine in the slot under the radio most of the time.

If I really want it to be visible, I use a vent clip.

Two other options that look interesting are the mount that goes into the CD slot in the dash, as well as the windshield mount that uses a unique adhesive to hold the iPhone in place. I will try to find the information on the latter; I was really considering buying it.

Congrats and welcome to the Porsche family.
We are lucky that we are having cup holders now.
My passed 964, got no cup holder or even the place to put the cell phone.
The 997 best place so far, is the slot under the radio. Especially the radio has been replaced with AVIC-7000NEX, which it does Apple CarPlay.

Keep mine on a removable mount on my center HVAC (left side) vent. The mount works great (was like $25 on Amazon) and keeps the phone at eye level. Negative is that it blocks some airflow throught that vent, but that isn't a big bother for me.

You can see the mount below...

I just ordered the clip magnet system. I'll mount it in your exact location and post a pic when it gets here. Thx!

I keep mine in the passenger seat. I tried using the compartment behind the shifter, but i found way too often the phone flies out of there when I accelerate.
