Speed Yellow - your thoughts

Resale-value wise and in general, is it a desireable color?

Yellow is a crayon not a car color. Jk!!! No seriously I’m not.

Relatively rare to see one so I couldn't call it a desirable color with a straight face. Those who love speed yellow really love it and may even pay a premium given how few come on the market but if you buy one and then decide to sell, your patience may be tested unless you luck out. I'm guessing the most desirable colors of 997's are silver, grey or black. Then a sprinkling of red, blue, yellow and white. Some greens also but I never saw one on the road. The 997.2 S launch car was Porsche's version of British Racing Green. Can't remember what they called it.

Very polarizing. You either love it or hate it so in my mind you cancel out a lot of the buyers that would be potential because of the color.

I think the 997 pulls flashy colors brilliantly. I would go Yellow, but while shopping, my wife had said no to an interesting yellow 997 because of the color.

The color makes an ubiquitous 911 stand out for owners that want to to be a little flashy, but not stand out too much, like with an orange or yellow Lamborghini.

I am biased, but I like Speed Yellow.

Loud colors make these cars more fun.

This was me and was holding for factory aero so took lots of patience but well worth it!

My 911 posters in school were always the bright obnoxious colors, Mexico blue, lizard green, speed yellow.

It's weird. I really like speed yellow and Mexico blue. Great colors for the 997 but I don't think I could ever buy either one. Why? I think mainly because I tend to keep a low profile and don't want a lot of attention. Opposite of the Lambo guys who first of all buys a car that looks like a flying saucer and then selects orange or toxic green just to make it stand out.

Buy what you like and enjoy it. There is an *** for ever seat and there are plenty of SY fans out there when it comes time to sell.

I hear you. I have sleeper cars in my arsenal so love laying low but I think fast / high performance cars should all wear ‘fast colors’. I could be an outlier, but I love the bright colors for how they look, not so much for the attention they may or may not attract.
