What are your thoughts on the styling of the 992 vs. the 997?
What do you like about the design of each car, and what don't you like?
Does anyone have pictures of a 997 alongside a 992?

I love it. Both generations can look good in their own ways but if I were to choose one, I would go with the 997s. Not only connection to the car when driving but you can make the car look really good diversely
with some effort. The 997 front nose is very short in OEM compared to the 992. The 992 length is 4519 mm wheelbase 2450, Where the 997's are 4,430-4,496 mm. So the 997 owners usually go with the aero kit conversion that extends the front making the 997 look more slick and aggressive. Also, there are a few widebody kits nowadays you can get to make the car look really good!

I preferred the wide-round rear on the 997. Maybe in 20 years it be fruitful like 993 today.

I love the size of the 997 as it feels a much smaller and more nimble car.

I think they are both designed perfectly for their respectful times, but what I don't understand is why cars are getting larger and larger?
What's the catch here?

Love the rear light bars on the 992 but something about the 997 is just right. I’m biased though

At the end of the day, the size of the car is the deciding factor in my eyes. The 997 just feels a better size visually to me. I haven’t had a chance to drive a 992 but the commentary is that it feels like a bigger car inside as well.

Personally? I think the size of the 997 is perfect. Anything before that was too small and after that is too big.

I remember when I was finally in the market for my first Porsche a few years ago, I drove two different 991 models, and then a couple 997's. Something about the proportions with the 997 is, well, just perfect imo. The 991 is a beautiful car too and Id like to have one someday. But the 992 ....just looks BLOATED.
