Ok, What do you "dislike" about your 997?

Its only about 90-100 these past few days in NY, don't want to try the heat now. Maybe in September, maybe.

If I bump up my A/C to say 65-70 it starts to smell terrible in the car.

dislikes

1. Driver door vibrates with (normal) bass.
2. The CD player comes on automatically after starting. Even when I was listening to the radio when I turned off the car.
3. The average fuel economy and average speed function is not accurate.
4. Navigation sucks. Worst map data I've ever seen. My handheld Garmin has more accurate maps and it costs thousands less.

It is really aggravating to have to hold it for 3 seconds or so... Anyone have a software fix for it? I'm sure it's a code that can be cracked... While we're at it, can I have please have 5 flashes of the blinker on intermittent? 3 flashes means I have to change lanes like a slot car.

That annoyes me as well. Only thing that does apart from some small rattles behind the driver's seat.

Can't you go to the dealer and complain and get that fixed.

I will but I'm waiting for some mods to arrive so I can do the whole thing at once. Coming from a 996, the rattles are not something new to me.

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but was any solution found to "quick mute" the music in the car when only navigation is needed? It's very inconvenient to jump to the sound menu and scroll to the mute button when I just want to use navigation only.

I think the nav voice is separate from the music volume control - just turn the music down and the nav should still work.

Thanks Chris. Ideally, I don't want my CD or other pre-recorded music to keep running so I don't lose my spot in the music/audiobook. The mute button in the sound menu stops the CD, so that works, but the CD will keep running if I just turn the volume down. Ideally, I'd like to just access nav directly without having my music begin playing.

Another question I have is -- is there any way to get fresh air in the car without using the car's fan and having "ECO" activated? At freeway speeds, I don't need the fan on to provide adequate airflow, and with good weather, I don't want to use the air conditioning for no reason in order to keep the interior cabin quiet.

Thanks in advance for any help.

oc997 is just really niceoc997 is just really niceoc997 is just really niceoc997 is just really nice
1. Lack of ability for beep sound when locking car
2. Lack of auto headlights (come on this is bad!! should be standard with this price tag)
3. Sports seats bolsters get creased and wrinkled after 1 week of usage. Needs more supportive and stiffer foam support that does not allow leather to sag.
4. Black Rubber Trim around windows is so cheap and hard to maintain. Should be aluminum like RS4 (same material used on A4's and looks like crap after a year)
5. 3M rear fender covers have way too much orange peel and will yellow after 1 year (should switch to venture shield film)
6. TPM sensors are not very accurate.
7. Passenger seat vibrates when driving when nobody is sitting on it.

Other than this I am in love with this car.
