Front lights dont look that different, but on the whole it looks pretty good...

noticed the front and rear wheels are concaved differently. is that how it is currently?

i see a very mile update on the bumper skin. is the tail light slightly smaller or is that just me?

I like the front bumper better than our 997's. Damn!!!

 

I still think the 997 GT3 ft end is nicer. So is this the 07 or 08?????

The new rear valaca above the exhaust is pretty cool looking so far!

 

I don't think it looks good at all IMO. Why make a turbo look a like? The turbo has grown on me immensely but it could have looked much better. I think the current 997 front bumper is classic and simply perfect. Oh well.

 

What should be upgraded are the lobsters.

 

Is it just me or will the facelift version have the same lights in the bumper that are found on the 997 Turbo (and that most people dont like)?

 

yeah i was comparing these spy pics to the new turbo and it looks like the same bumper, except that the fog lights will be in with the headlights rather than separately on the side.

if so than the turbo isn't going to be very special looking, at least from the front

 

Yeah, and I am on the fence. Not that I don,t like the original 997 but I don't want to buy one and not even be current for 2 or 3 months. I mean if they are 07s than they are due out soon. Of course you won't, can't get any info from a stealer, cause they won't be able to sell their current. Still if they are only cosmetic changes I could live withit but if there are significant mechanical changes....?

Imagine buying an 01 996 in July/August, and then seeing the 02 come out a month later with all those upgrades for the same or similar money.

It doesn't say there will be any mechanical changes and the engine choices stay the same.
