Is being an A**HOLE required at Porsche Sales Training?

I don't know what it is but I just went into a dealership once again to talk about grabbing a new Carrera and the complete lack of respect I got from a salesman (again) is mind numbing.

Are they required to take "Be a complete D!ck 101" during their sales training?

This would be my third PCar and just as many dealers. This is because of the consistent lack of professionalism and arrogance from the Sales Staff at each one (regardless of the fact that I've gotten decent deals).

It appears that they only want to deal with people they can rip off. If you know ANYTHING about car financing and value as it pertains to depreciation, mileage, etc, they just blow you off without thinking once about losing business (now or in future).

Just taints the brand. A brand that I happen to love.

Cannot believe that though I am a loyal, proven return customer and enthusiast, Porsche doesn't seem to think it's important to make sure that its Sales Staff and dealerships treat me with respect and show interest in my business.

What a HUGE disappointment.

Sorry for the rant, it just really gets my blood up.

Ironically, there really ARE a few good ones out there. I don't think they are a product of PCNA/PAG training, they just happen to be good folks who treat customers with respect.

Depending on where you may be located, you might keep digging. Or post a general location, and others will refer you to a top notch sales pro nearby.

You can buy the car from any dealer, anywhere. Getting it serviced is another story. But keep digging, and don't give up, and certainly don't give your money to those who are so unprofessional they couldn't sell dog crap.

Just do like a lot of others on the board do. Ask for a dealership recommendation for your area. Could turn up some really good, reputable dealers/salesmen.

You obviously aren't buying in Southern California then.

SoCal is a completely different world. The waiters at some restaurants make more than most folks. You need to start your search outside of Cali. There are tons of great porsche dealers...some of them are even board sponsors and they'd be happy to ship a car to you.

When buying, I am friends with no one, I will shop around within a 200 mile radius and especially in NJ, there are a cluster of dealers willing to deal.

When it comes to service, I am VERY loyal, often buying parts/service from the dealer that I can get much cheaper elsewhere. They are highly appreciative of that and it has great benifits.

Porsche dorks in showrooms

A**holes dont deserve your business
I have a great salesman, kisses my hand upon arrival, and goes all out for me. I guess thats why I will be buying my third Porsche from him next year.
He jokes around, but gives me sound honest advice...one time, he told me he was the one who invented the new Porsche cup holders on the 997's

Payback is a *****, if they act stupid, or ignore me...eventually I know they are gonna see me in my Pcars and I just smile. ok, $140,000 in pcars later.. I am still smiling.

What do you think of sexy girls running them showroom floors??, now were talking!!!

What dealership? Share so we can boycott the bastards! Go see Brian @ Family Motors. It's about 1.5 hrs from LA but it's worth the drive. Without a doubt he will treat you right. Just make sure you call first to make sure he is there and check on inventory before you make the drive. There's nothing better than dealing with a smaller dealership that has a small town philosophy.

You can probably add Rusnak Westlake. They straight up tried to pad the Porsche lease buy rate by 1% and then denied it down the line even after I showed them the rate schedule from another dealer. Dealer's have incentives to put people in Porsche Financing, don't let any dealer tell you otherwise. They have full discretion over those rates.

These places will never see my face or my money again.

Contact Jeff Rapoport @ Hennessy (www.hennessyporsche.com) or Chris Sanner @ Porsche of North Olmsted (www.porscheofcleveland.com). Both will take care of you, and both have done multiple over-the-phone and over-the-internet deals.

You can tell them Doug gave you their info.
