Nav-TV has released a MOST adapter for the Porsche (997/987/Cayenne); its for sale and it works!

Here is a users review on rennlist: http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforum...highlight=ipod

Looks like we finally have a solution for our Ipods.

Wow and so reasonably priced too. If you look at the ebay add, the ipod adapters for the other cars are between $70 and $75. But for a porsche a bargain at $600.

I actually was just playing with one up in our parts department. I look forward to seeing it in a car. Porsche has been talking about possibly putting a factory unit in the future but this is Porsche we are talking about.

The porsche one is a MOST (Fiber Optic) adapter and alot more complicated the the other car adapters. R&D alone would cost an arm and a leg compared to the other cars.

Remember guys, we're putting the group buy together for a reason....PRICE. And the unit we are dealing with is the benchmark in that field: Dension. Yes, it's late to market, but only because they won't release it until the damn thing is perfect. In final testing now, due for release any day or a week or so based on last results.

If you have not emailed about the group buy, just email em (eric@bumperplugs.com) and give me your name/model/year/nav/bose/cd info.

Thanks.

Just for grins and giggles...we have heard this from Dension for like 2+ years. I know it's not you Eric and you are trying to help us out, but if my company offered/promised/suggested...delivery of a solution and I missed this bad....well I'd be out of business.

wross, understood completely. We signed off in MARCH as a distributor, just for this product. But I do understand electronics take a lot more testing/troubleshooting that mechanical parts. Oh well, hope it is soon. I do get weekly updates from them on the testing/trials, so I have to believe it's very close.

With all do respect, Dension has really dropped the ball on this one. The product has been delayed from them several times. I even have a hard time convincing myself that the product exists. Everytime they are close to releasing the product .. something pops up and we have to wait another 6 weeks.

If you could get some screenshots or pictures of the dension unit; it would give me enough faith to wait it out.

I'm still waiting for the Denison unit. If it gets even more delayed, I'll have an 80GB iPod by then.
