Ok guys, be honest. I only want information on new cars, not ones sitting on the lot for 12 years.

I can't wait for the poster to say he got 12K off MSRP.

 

8-10% should get done

 

Wow, already the first response is 8-10%. Am I the only one here who thinks that is insane? Please tell me the dealer that does this. I will call and ask them, bc that number is completely contradictary to 10 dealers I went to.

 

why ask if you know already? send me a cashiers check - ill buy your car for you down here in florida - it will take 1 email to the sales manager and be done

 

its a bit harder to get such a discount in LA but you can definitely get that number out of state or if you call further out from LA.
to make you feel better I got 0 discount for my car from BH.

 

but raffi - you are in la and you bought a 2005 - discounts were tough to come by then..now there are 997s everywhere...alwasy tough to get a discount on an expensive new release model..

 

I got about a 7-8% discount off mine, just got to be persistent and find a willing sales manager.

 

Stevens Creek in San Jose gave me 5 % off MSRP for a car I ordered - two other dealers said they would do the same.

I think that you can do better for a car on the lot.....

 

I got 5k off plus got them to throw in sport design wheels and mats. Thats worth about another 600 bucks so 5600 off MSRP. Went to 3 dealers and got offered 2-2500 off at the first three with iffy delivery times. My guy got my ride in 90 days and made a lot of order changes.

I got 0 from the dealer i bought the slightly used 997 from . Not even snow tires..

 

That's on a Cab not a Coupe..on Coupes the best I found in Los Angeles is 1% off of MSRP, Mark at Pacific Porsche in Torrance offered 2% off on a Coupe and BHP offered 500 off of MSRP. I bought out of state at North Olmsted in Ohio and got near 9% off of MSRP.

discounts are very easy to come by on 07 997's especially when the face-lifted 08's will be here very soon

yes, discounts on them are available.

I got ~7% off my 2007 order (one of the first in the country). I guess I could get 8-10% for one off the lot. I know of two dealers (mine and one other) who will gladly offer you a good deal and have a lot of experience in selling and shipping to remote customers. My dealer is based in Atlanta, and my salesperson sold one to Google's CEO in CA right before mine.

~6% off new 2007 997 S Cab on the dealers lot. But I got the cab in February, when verts don't move too well in Carolina.
