The top Evos standard are generally quicker round a track than a 911 (997) C2S standard as well. Not by alot. Top Scoobies and EVOs are for the money phenominally fast, fun to drive etc. Shame they have to be quite so ugly...

I agree that the standard C2 is going very well. I was last week at Nürnburging, and when driving the long straight at the Grand Prix track, I managed to pull away from a C4S with powerkit!!!

I have a 330 awhp Evo 9 MR and its faster than a Carrera S - considerably so from a dead stop through a few gears. Its much closer from a roll of any sort and runs from 60mph. It has a full exhaust w/ HFC and vishnu tune - nothing crazy at all - stock filter, intake, very stealth under the hood. Ugly? Hell yes, the wife wont ride in it. But its a drivers car, nothing more, nothing less.
Stock they are terrible on the higher end, boost tapers off big time. A good tune fixes that and boost is held nicely through redline. Almost a 100hp gain from a tune and exhaust cures the top end woes.
