Color Question...

Is there a such color called Shark Blue on 2006 Porsche 997? It looks like slate grey but more blueish... I went online but it didnt have a such color as Shark Blue... Did they change on name?

Shark Blue Pearl
Paint code T45

It's a Chrysler color. Not a Porsche color in the database using that name.

MARINE Blue, however, is a current Cayenne color. As is Dark Sea Blue.

It means that Chrysler paints its cars that color. If you want it, just tell Porsche - they'll paint your car any color you want... for a price.

Who cares what people like - if you like it, get it.

They don't show a custom palette because it's impractical on the website. Porsche's paint-to-sample costs about $4500.

Yep, and it's the biggest rip they do. It costs them NOTHING more than a few minutes of mix time and a bit more for wasted paint they cannot use again. But not 3-4k in waste.

The real cost of the paint changes for things like Seal Grey (a pearl) vs a standard like Speed or Guards or Black or White.

But they are happy to take your big money for a custom one-off color they will not paint again for a while.
