installed X51 header and got my Awe mufflers back

I feel a slight improvement in response with the X51 headers, cheap, cheap, cheap, $279.00 each, gasket $5.00+ each.

After 3 weeks I got my formerly new Awe mufflers back, the baffles blew loose; the fix was a horizontal support to keep them baffles from removing themselves again. The labor cost $180.00 for the mufflers, I think AWE should reimburse me since their redesign shows the first design was lacking.

Am I barking up the wrong tree?

Have you even called AWE directly to discuss your issue?

Probably will be difficult to get any comp from AWE if you didn't let them have first shot at fixing it.

I sent the mufflers back to AWE they wouldn't send back a new set but chose to improvise a fix on the same pair, thus the reason for the 3 week wait.

I understand now - they should compensate you for the labor.

I would be suprised if AWE did not compensate you to some degree on the labor cost.

That is not very good customer service or satisfaction.
I was considering an AWE system, guess I will give Borla and Remus a much better look.

For the record.

Schicago's mufflers were not fixed, but replaced with brand new units. That is an $1195 value. We have see some issues with some of our cans and are taking care of customers as quickly as we can.

Larbor is not covered. I know this may be hard for everyone to swallow, but this is industry standard.

We feel that we go over an above for our customers. Especially after hearing/reading horror stories about how our competitors handle certain issues.

Please, I encourage you to search the boards for customer service issues that were handled poorly by AWE Tuning.

I take pride in my job and this is a very sensitive issue with me. With some quick research you will see that our service is second to none.

If anyone wants to speak to me directly, please call or email.

If your service is "second to none" you shouldn't use this line in the same paragraph, "but this is industry standard".
