I am going to email you as well. Maybe you could send me the file over the net using AIM or Skype?

Also, what buttons to you press to check your firmware?

To those who sent me a PM or email, I've replied!

I'm not quite sure how to check the firmware version, it escapes me at the moment, could someone else possibly chime in on that?

And the files on specifically categorized on a cd that is inserted into the PCM...i havent tried emailing the files--nor would i recommend it.

Hey Im not sure who asked me before if the update disc i have can make your PCM play mp3's, so Ill just post the answer here. It wont...as far as i know , the mp3 function is a hardware difference not software.

This is the Porsche description of what the update disc ive helped others with (and also new navigation disc) does:
"Update the PCM navigation system for vehicles from 06/04 with the status of MY05. The update consists of a system update and map update and makes navigation generally more accurate. The map material covers new data and is much more detailed.
System and map update for navigation systems using data-format from Model Year 2005. Provides a higher level of detail, destination input with zipcode/postcode search, and integrated with the optional electronic logbook."
