NAV-TV Bluetooth Adapter for 997
I tried it last night, and it not only didn't update, but now my PCM doesn't recognize the Tooki. Hopefully, there's a way to reinitialize it, although I have already tried disconnecting and reconnecting the Tooki's power.
Happened to me too. It'll work. The first time around it saw the tooki BT and my phone and said it was updating but got an error/failure message. The tooki died, PCM didn't recognize it.
I turned off the PCM, locked the car, and then repeated the process and it found the tooki and updated the packets just fine. On the second try I moved the laptop (thinkpad) from the workbench to the top of the car just to be sure it was close enough. Not sure that really meant anything, but it worked.
Just try it again

I'd say if you are having no problems and are not looking for adventure (joke), then I'd wouldn't bother updating. In my case, I was confident I'd get support from Nav-TV if I had a problem, so I wanted to try it just to find out how it might work on a non-trivial future update.
For what it's worth, I ran the update from the Windows Vista Boot Camp partition on my MacBook Pro. I was sitting in the car when I ran the update.
Sounds like the updater application needs some work to function as intended (at least for some situations like mine and Bob-Ft. Worth's). Maybe it has something to do with trying to do it in Texas.

Can somebody send me the update navtv posted? I can't get to their website ; seems to be down for the past few days!
It's working as I am posting.
Bob,
Here is where I put my Treo. (When no one is in the passenger seat)
The seat belt lock mechanism holds it against the plastic in place and it does not go anywhere but at the same time it's easily accessible for when I need it.
The Treo is thicker than the I-Phone though so not sure how it would work for you.
