Ah, the never ending "if I spend this much money" game. To play along with you, how fast could you make a Fox Body for the price of a new SS? Lets stick with Apples to Apples

Its a stupid argument, dont play it.

Stock GT's dyno in the mid 250's, you don't gain 200 RWHP from just a blower unless your running bye-bye motor boost or alot of other bolt-ons....
A 3V GT with 9-11psi a tune and some sticky tires, nothing else, should have no issue going 11s with a good driver. Stock Auto GTs may dyno in the 250-265 range, while manual version have touched as high as 285. Add a Twin Screw system like Kenne Bell's and you can easily expect 400-450rwhp with reasonable boost and their canned tune, nothing else.

450rwhp and up starts getting hairy with the stock shortblock, but people have had stock engines live well north of that number.

i think the car looks much better than the current model. they finally got some decent wheels on the shelby. the only question that remains is will the 2011 gt500 get lighter???
Back on topic... I like the new GT500 a lot. Much more than I did the current version at first. The only thing Im not so sure on is the rear end, no matter how many ways its viewed it still looks strange to me.

The weight always plays a huge issue with this car and I doubt it'll be less than the current porky GT500. If anything I bet the weight will have gone up a tad.

it has gone up 10-20lbs in front. based on new axle and suspension pieces thats it. the old one weighed in at 3850 without the mach 1000 which is a 70lb option increase(3850+70 ~ 3920 people like to quote). rumor has it though the 2011 will be on a 100lb+ diet. we will see?

3850 - 100 ~ 3750.....

Yikes, I just saw the flame-fest that happened regarding Mustang HP with a blower. Relax, Z06 guy, your car is still faster than a stock Mustang with blower...assuming you can drive your car properly. Yes, people are getting 450+ WHEEL horsepower with a blower. Add more mods and you'll certainly make greater gains. These 3v's are different animals.

Also, a Mustang hanging with a Z on a road course would take a LOT of cash. It's possible, but you better hope that the Z is stock! At that point, you should have gotten the Z06 if you WANTED that type of performance. If Mustangs are your thing though, it's not a waste.

That's about what the last model put to the tires. So these should put about 460-470 to the tires. To each their own, if you want a Muscle car that can easily make over 700 RWHP on pump gas, I cant think of any others can can do it so cheaply.

1.4x 60 times to get 10.4's at 130+ with a gt500 that has tune, pulley, gears, tires, and some suspension says differently. is this not faster than the modded gtr ran?
