Ford GT in the house.
Chris, I COMPLETELY agree with Michael, DO get the Short Shifter if you can find one. I absolutely LOVE mine, I think it's one of the best mods, regardless of cost, that you can do. It's a tactile mod, so it's something you "feel" each time you're in the car. In a similar vein, I also love the adjustable coilovers as they're so much stiffer and firmer riding, again being a mod you can "feel".
As for Andrew's shift boot, again, totally agreed. The factory rubber boot (condom?), while being about a perfect 34C, just does not compare to the finished leather boot. The fact that it looks great is just a huge bonus. Of course I'm a little biased.

One day I will join the ranks. Ill probally also walk onthe moon one day...
Lol.. Thanks for livin my dream. Guess someone has to do it. J/k
Absolutely stunning. Never cared for ford but man that thing is sweet. I get what your saying about drivability. When my viper was stockish at 540 crank hp with a few bolt ons my buddy took me for a few quick burst in his cammed 600 hp crank c6z06.
My impression was that even modded it felt more tame than the stock viper. Id imagine the fgt is as close to a racecar as you can get in the exotic world?

Z06's are fairly 'soft' by comparison. Don't get me wrong, I love mine and the combination of utility/performance/safety/looks is simply unbeatable at the price point. One can certainly turn up the wick on a Z and make them very, very intimidating. A friend of mine (AtomicZ) has a near 600whp Z06 and it's accurately called 'the beast'.
In my limited experience, the FGT feels more like a race-ready car than any stock car I've owned or any of the other (stock) exotics I've been in. (that is not an all inclusive list). Not better, just different. Exacerbated by the lack of carbon/alcantara found in some of the other 'supercars'. Very purposeful.
It feels like a very special thing to be driving an FGT.
