2014 Jeep SRT-8

I have always been intrigued by these trucks. There's something amazing to me about super torquey trucks. As a kid, I lusted over the GMC Syclone and Typhoon.

Well, I got sick of the Panamera and took a look at the 2014, redesigned Jeep SRT8 and took it for one drive and was sold. The sound, the power, the paddles, the big old red Brembos, the tech (shares a bunch of stuff with the new Benz S Class), and more. The best part is it's under the radar, and great for work commuting.

Does anyone know any good forums for the Jeep SRT8, in specific?

I like it, and I do own a Typhoon.
The black chrome wheels look good. I want to do something like that on my X5.

I have a 2014 Grand Cherokee Hemi. Off the line the SRT-8 is fun but dont expect it to be extremely fast or anything. It's still a 13 second 1/4 mile vehicle. I've checked out a forum but its full of people that tend to over exaggerate their performance, its pretty funny actually.

I got me one too (2014 SRT Jeep). I've had it for about 20 miles so far and am asking myself why I waited so long.

Enough to take out a Panamera or two

Yes, off the line it will easily blow the doors off of a 6 cylinder Panamera and up to 60 it should be quicker than the V8, it hits 60 in the mid 4s, pretty impressive given the size of the vehicle. It does slow down drastically afterward though, hence the slower 1/4 times.

Come on, it's not a race car. It is a pretty quick (to 60) luxurious SUV with some pretty decent sporting appointments. For 5000 pounds it is surprising.

Yes 12.5-13 seconds to reach 100mph completely stock is impressive given what you're surrounded by.

Their super nuts with a bolt on supercharger kit. Panamera Turbo fast all the way to the 1/4 mile mark..

Friends (indeed, JPanamera),

Congratulations on your purchase, and I do hope you thoroughly enjoy the carefully crafted precision engineering offered by SRT when they got their hands on the Jeep Grand Cherokee. Sure, its no race-car, and she may not even be the 'prettiest girl at the ball' but she will DEFINITELY turn a head or two.

I have always been fascinated by the power of the 6.4L HEMI V8 and the dynamic of mating it to our mac-daddy of drive-train systems exclusive only to Jeep. You found startling similarities to Mercedes because its a Mercedes chassis wrapped in American perfection!

Again, congratulations on acquiring your own little piece of American history!
