Yep, that Z-06 is gonna be a beast...you'll have no trouble keeping up w/ your 2, especially if you get flashed!

I am having lots of fun with the GT2. I expect be flashed (GIAC that is) hopefully in two weeks. I am trying to determine the right exhaust system as well.
How's the CS and GT3? You have an awesome combo. Take care.

In February of this year, Motor Trend tested an X50 with the following results:
0 - 60 3.7
1/4mi. 11.8
trap speed 120 mph
An ecu tune with exhaust, dirverter valves and air filter will easily keep the zo6 at bay

My question is how is this 06 Z06 faster to 60 then a Carrera GT when the Carrera GT, weights less, 100 HP advantage and is more aerodynamic? Doesnt make sense.
Car looks pretty good, stunning performance, but not my cup of tea.

Just as their are lots of modded Turbos, the aftermarket in the US is WAY larger for Corvette go- fast parts and the Vette boards are full of guys already planning out the mods on their coming Z06s from turbos to superchargers . Of course , their bogie is the modded Viper , as usual, not 911Turbos , same as 911 Turbo guys always getting lathered up in comping to the same generation Ferrari V8 model.

Sufficient torque and hp coupled with gearing that will get you to 60 mph without shifting will make one heck of a difference in your 0-60 times.

Do you guys think that a 125-127 mph trap speed is representative for a C6 with 505 crank hp?
Both MT and C&D tested the cars at Chevrolet's New Milford proving grounds.
Ringers? Or maybe its denial that I can't face the reality of a stock Corvette possibly out running me ( for now ).

1. Weighs 3146 lbs.
2. Only has 435 lb-ft torque.
Car & Driver tested the CGT 0-60 as 3.5 seconds with a 1-2 shift at 48 MPH.
CGT/Corvette
1/4-mile: 11.2@132/11.7@125
60-100: 3.3/4.3
The cars are close. On the street, you probably wouldn't see much of a difference.

Early production Corvettes, especially Z06 versions typically have more agressive test numbers. After the general public receives their allocations, the test numbers tend to show more realistic numbers. Could be that early production test mules are "tweaked" to show best possible results. IMHO

Those are great numbers for the Z06, but will the new Z06 be a mass produced top Vette, I've been hearing that there won't be a high number of Z06's built and if its that the case you won't see very many on the street to begin with, say compared to a 996TT.
Does anyone have any hard info on how many Z06's will be built in the first year?????????
