great great tests and numbers... but I believe Road & Track got 12.3 @ 116. Now, that really doesn't make much sense for a 3146 lb car with 505 hp. But, 125-127 mph doesn't make sense for a 3146 lb car with 505 hp, either.
Once some real-world owners get their hands on their Z06's, we'll see what this puppy REALLY does... Honestly, I think real-world numbers will be in the low to mid 120's. Either that, or the hp is severely underrated by Chevrolet, and R&T is smoking crack.

I think the motortrend numbers of a 127 trap were just an estimate, and a very optimistic one at that. We will see what the car actually does in the real world, but why should it be much faster than a viper if it is faster at all? Realistically, a low 120 trap speed seems feasable.
The old z06 was not an 11 second car. Yes, there were some owners that got a stock Z into the very high 11's, but it is not an 11 second car. E55's are faster, turbo's are dead even (really a drivers race), and I have seen an s600 go head to head with a z06 with the 600 coming out the victor. It's a mid 12 second car and is just slightly faster than a c6 vette and we all know what kind of times those run.

No way they sell these initially for 65k. More like 75-85. I know what you read but dealers Will punk people with limited availablity crap as long as they can. This car IS a beast because of hand built engine and simple displacement. Your typical schmuk will have a hard time pulling a 3.5 0-60 without sliding into your lane though. This car will demand respect and does represent what american engineering can do when it feels it can profit by doing it. Fit and finish may leave something to be desired but nothing sounds like over 400 inches screaming through dual exhaust. I however would much rather trust my limited skills hauling *** around road atlanta in my 4 wheel drive tt with psm. I know you "pros" will snicker at this but you watch how many of these get wrecked. Make no mistake, 500 hp should not be taken lightly in anything! Kudos to chevy but I will keep the TT. Would not mind one in three years for 45k though. Nice beater.

I can't wait to see what Road & Track says about the 997TT given that they clocked the 997 Carrera S at 3.9 seconds. Historically, the TT has been at least 0.6 secs faster to 60 than the Carrera. We are obviously going to start bumping up against some driver limitations pretty soon...i.e. don't blink if you're doing 0-60 in 2.9 seconds.
