This is a classic comment on the Viper:
"at lower rpm, the exhaust sounds like a tuba having sex with a vacuum cleaner." At least it doesn't sound like a UPS truck anymore, right? C&D still rated the '07 Z06 above the '08 Viper not because of speed but ease of daily driving. If someone is looking for all out speed and squeezing that last 0.2 sec from 0-60 or bragging rights... the Viper is the car to get. If you're looking for something with similar performance but easier to live with, there are several other options out there.

I'm not a fan of the easter egg colors but I do like the orange color because it reminds me of a Viper I saw at SEMA 2 years ago with a House of Colors Orange paint job.

I owned 2 997tt’s; tests drove 4 C6 Z06’s and now own a 05 SRT-10 Viper. There is no doubt that the 997tt is the shiat on the track and road. The new Z06 is not as refined as the 997tt however it is much easier to drive then the Viper. I took the Viper to a track this past weekend and the back end was all over. The Viper is so shaky, loud, and uncomfortable and has the worst gear box ever however the fun factor is awesome!! If I wanted a serious drivers car to fully compete on a track I would have to go with something else, If I wanted to brag about the best factory American Muscle car in this price class it would be the Z06. Why do I have a Viper instead of the Z06 or 997tt????
Get one drive it around and you will understand. Mechanically there are far better cars out there however the Viper has that exotic following by people and they just go nuts over it. They follow you down the highway, stop dead in their tracks when you roll up at public places, kids drool on the windows at stoplights. I really do not care im going to voice my opinion whether wrong or indifferent, it is what i think from my experiences and nothing is going to change that... if you have a viper that handles great let me whip it around big willow and may be that will change the handling but quality control still is not there PERIOD. Whether u agree or dont... i will still voice what i think

You my friend run off at the mouth as bad as I do except I will say what i believe. I can really care less if you find it pointless and or amazing. I stated my opinion what I think, stop crying like a 2 year old for her bottle and move on. Yes I prefer European Cars because for the most they are built Better. In materials, Quality, performance, and handling- basically the whole package. I talk crap on them because they are not as refined as they could be and definately should be.
The potential of the car could be but will never be. For the reason of Chrysler cutting corners to save a penny. with a slightly stiffer dampening rates and more feedback in steering, closer gearing, and quality of materials I think it would be an overall better car. I do not feel it is there fore I cannot agree with most of you. So all in all drop it move on and get over it.
