Those statements alone just solidify the fact that you don't know a ****ing thing about the car, or how to make on fast.

If that were the case, why was it that PMUM's 01' ACR had a set of penske coilovers that were sprun and dampened dramatically softer than the stock ACR shocks, yet it kicked the living dog **** out of the tuner cars that supposedly handle so much better than a viper does in their stock fashion?

OTC: http://www.opentrackchallenge.com/trackrecords/hall.htm

And by what margin? not tenths, but 2-5 seconds? good god thats lightyears.

Yeah, can a GT3 run a :29 at willow?

Oh and those were all on regular street radials, not some R compound or full on road race slicks.

Closer gear ratios? Have you ever spent time in a car that makes any amount of torque? The best part of a viper is not having to shift 18 times to get anywhere. The car doesn't have a dead spot anywhere in the powerband and doesn't need to sit at 6500rpm to make any power.

Once again, you just don't know how to drive the car and/or have the ***** to drive it hard.

Get in the pass seat with someone who can really drive and they will have you **** your pants. You need to get over saying the car sucks just because you don't have the ***** or skill to handle it. ***** about the interior or w/e, but there is no denying that with a competent driver they flat haul *****.

Mumford is an insanely good driver though Vicious. You can count the amount of people who can hustle a Viper like that on ONE hand. Correct me if I'm wrong, but his car was BASICALLY stock at OTC, with some bolt-ons and some very good tuning (and the necessary safety gear). It's deceptive to look at his times and try to compare them to practically anyone else's times at WS.

He's basically neck-and-neck with Amir Rosenbaum in the F40, another insanely good driver. When you get in that league, it's all about how well man and machine can mesh.

Yes his car was so stock is pissed people off. Penske coilovers, roll bar, and a set of stoptechs on stock wheels and tires, and he gave those all out tuner cars a beat down of epic porportion.

I remember seeing him set pole in his comp coupe against guys like Probst and Dearing, who are top level pros now. So yes he was an amazing driver who had the stones to handle that car, and his setup was WAY out of the spectrum of 'normal' but it just flat worked.

And that was my point, the viper isn't built for some nanny ****** bag to c*nt around in, and it will hand you your *** if you don't treat it right. BUT if you have the skill to handle it, the car will reward you by being insanely fast against even the best street legal race cars.

This little squid say the car handles horribly, needs a gear ratio change, etc. just solidifies the fact that he can't drive or setup a car for ****. It's not the car, it's just him.

PS. Yesterday was the 4 year anniversary of PMUM being killed in his private plane crash
