the white one has been running on NOS for like a year already, and he sprays all the time...Maybe Abid at ASR can chime in on that subject...

ASR Engineering is infamous around these parts
It is very safe to run the nitrous on these cars as long as they are tuned properly. Our nitrous packages are designed to work with our software. Our software tells the nitrous when to turn on and when to turn off. It uses numerous parameters to control the nitrous such as rpm, tps, map input, air temp, and egt input. Once the nitrous is activated our software switches to another tuned map that has adjusted ignition timing and a/f to run the nos safely. It also has failsafes programmed into the file, such as if the egt temps get to high there is a compensation setup in the file. Our packages also include a colder set of plugs for the nitrous. I've stated this before and I can't stress it enough, nitrous is not something I would recommend for you guys that already have flashes from other companies. Unless they have someway to attenuate for the nitrous in their programming, you would be taking a HUGE RISK. We have done several months of testing and tuning with our kits before we came up with a final product. During this phase we also pulled the spark plugs several times to check their condition after several bottles and top speed runs. If you've never pulled the plugs before on a 997tt, it's not like a 996tt. You have to pull the turbos off to do it. Not too difficult, just a bit of a pain in the butt. Absolutely no pitting or curling back of the electrodes of any kind. As a matter of fact the plugs came out looking like they were just removed from a stock car.

Most ecu's flashes adjust timing, a/f, boost, etc. These flashes were not done with nitrous in mind. Our ecu is setup to run an aggressive file when not on nitrous and a seperate file with all the failsafes when the nitrous is activated.

Abid my friend you are the man!

To all members on the board who do not know ASR Engineering and Abid, I will tell you guys this. I trust this man completely and his work. He takes care of my E60 M5 and the car is a wicked beast.
He knows what he's doing and there is so much more to come from ASR regarding performance enhancements for the BMW and Porsches.

Take care my friend,

GT3Ranger...Juan

I agree. When I bought the Turbo, I literally drove home from the dealer, straight to his shop - "here's the keys, have fun."

My CLS63 and 997tt run flawlessly with the ASR setups, and trust me, we test them hard!
