Help me justify paying $30k+ for a Jeep SRT8 ? I cant..its Jeep= Dodge ..I really want one....

I don't know why you would hesitate. If you had driven one you wouldn't be asking this question.

If you've got an SRT8 around for about 30K let me know if you pass on it!

 

I dont think you can get one for $30k...used 06's go for mid $30k's and new jeeps go for $40-$45k.....

How long is the factory warranty ?

 

A friend of mine had one and traded it in, due to rattles, and other issues (although I don't know what it was) etc. I really like the srt8 though, and thought about buying one, but went with a Cayenne S due to the towing capacity I needed.

 

I would recommend driving one several times before buying, I bought one and had it for less than 2 weeks before I traded it

My neighbor has one plus 3 BMWs (M3, M5, 528). He likes the power but not much else. "you can't haul or tow anything, but it's great at burning gas and getting tickets".

 

yea, I thought you had one for 30K....if so I'd jump on that. Don't think i'd pay 40K for it.


My dad had one on order...it kept getting pushed further back and he finally bought a navigator instead

 

I can't help ya. Not enough good things to say about it besides straight line power...

 

I have no experience with the SRT8's but I've never had good luck with Grand Cherokees.

Id rather buy a used Cayenne.

 

The only thing i can think of Hennessey upgrade

 

My neighbor hates his - rattles, electrical gremlins, wierd smoke from the vents, all in the first 4k miles.

It does sound bad-*** when he drives by, though.
